CLAIM YOUR RIGHT!

Text: Romans 8:17
"Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferingsin order that we may also share in his glory." NIV
Have you ever wondered what kind of person you really are? I’m not talking about your trait or personality type now. But yes, it’s strongly related because you are a spirit, soul and body.
What I am actually asking you is, do you really know and understand how valuable you are to God. I mean do you know your worth in reality at all.
Let me help you answer.
First and most important, you should understand that you are a spirit being and as a child of God you have an inheritance with God’s Son.
Second, you and God are in the same class when it comes to nature for the scripture says “We are created in His image” Gen 1:26
Third, you have the mind of God through his son and because you‘ve been given an eternal life through his son you share an inheritance with God’s son.
So you have the life of Christ “For God so loved the word that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believe in him shall not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3 v 16
Romans 8:16 says “The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.”
See it’s a certainty that you already have an everlasting life, you are not trying to have that life, no, you already have it because you a child of God.
(Another word for everlasting life is eternal life and eternal life is the life of God and it cannot perish because it last forever).
So why do we need to know this? This is because if you have the life of God inside you through Jesus Christ, you certainly do share and have an inheritance with His Son Jesus Christ.
And yes, the life of Jesus is an inheritance too. Luke 10:25 says “And a lawyer stood up and put Him to the test, saying, “Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?”
Again Romans 8:17 says “Now if we are Children, then we are heirs-heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.
It means that we need to discover what we have in Christ. What do we have in Christ. What exactly is our inheritance? You need to know this. Find out more on our next post. Thank you for reading.
Let's pray:
Dear father, I thank you for I have the life of God through your son Jesus Christ and therefore I have an inheritance with God. I am walking in the reality of the life of Christ from today claiming all my inheritance in the name of the Lord Jesus. Amen!
