Don't Sleep

Coughing and rising to my feet, I thought and asked myself, "where could this smoke be coming from" (still Coughing). The whole room was filled with cloudy smoke that had choked me till I woke. Are these angels is smoky cloud?

Ye! My beans! I yelled.

Yesterday, I came back tired, worn out and ready to dive into my bed.

It was due to my many activities, which included working on my laptop and taking some lessons on public speaking from YouTube during the day.

As I hurried back home, only two things were constantly on my mind "food and sleep".

One need was stronger than the other, but I persuaded myself to cook first because I didn't want to find my self eating virtual food during sleep. Lol. But I was very hungry.

So I decided to cook my favourite; beans, ( I like beans o). OK let me rush.

I washed it carefully and poured it, now ready to cook, by the way, I picked it first. Sleep began to call, that bed was tempting me to just rest at least 1 minute.

This is it I thought, Paul said the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak.

What I want to do, I find myself not able to... so this is scripture in reality.

I thought.

I wanted to sleep, and the Spirit said don't sleep.  it was clear, deep and calm.

I thought I would obey that voice, but I also thought well since its beans, let me just rest a little for it won't be ready soon before I wake.

What woke me up was the smoke that filled my room. I can't believe I had slept for over 20mins already, I switched on the light and went straight to the kitchen.

Then I remembered" "don't sleep".

So it was God speaking.

My about 1/2 derica beans had   almost totally gotten burnt because I disobeyed that voice-God's leading.

Thank God, I was able to stop it before further burning.

Now it's not the devil, it's my ignorance to the leading of God's  voice I thought.

Suddenly, I Remembered Lot's wife, (don't look back madam). I remembered Saul, (wait for Samuel sir) I remembered Moses (strike the rock once bro.. oh, speak to the rock sir)

I remembered also, many people who may be reading this now, how that many times, God had warned us, spoken to us, instructed us; "DON'T SLEEP".

This  could be figurative, but many times we've neglected so many simple but salient instruction the Spirit gives us.

Scriptures says "For as many that are led by the Spirit are sons of God" ROM 8:14

Being a son requires absolute obedience to God's leading and direction. Ignorance can be very costly. It can burn!

What is God asking you to do now and that you are ignoring?

Just remember- "Don't Sleep", also remember "My burnt Beans"
