STAY UP ALWAYS

ANYGAP FRIDAY DRIVE  by Ide Thompson
TOPIC: STAY UP ALWAYS

Text: Colossians 3 :1 -2
If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God.
2. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.

Do you know that as soon as you surrender your life to Christ, you become a new person entirely? You are reborn and have a fresh new spirit.

The nature of God is implanted in your spirit. You become one with God in Christ. This is true because that’s what the scripture says in 2 Corinthians 5:17 that if any man be in Christ he is a new creature..."

However, in the journey of becoming a fully grown person in Christ (i.e from a baby to a man) you are faced with one major battle.

This battle is not with anybody else but with you in particular. It is a battle of your mind.

No doubt, there would be lot of thought going on  through your mind, both consciously and subconsciously.

In situations like this all you should do is stick to the prescription given in Colossians 3:1 -2 (our text).

You see we are not left without a solution. And our text shows us just  the best way to solve this problem.

Here is how we can tackle this battle.

1. Seek (consciously look out for) things above: This means you must rebrand your mind by the word of God deliberately.

You should seek the sincere milk of the word that will make you to grow into the full stature of Christ.

2. Set (adjust completely) your thought, align your mind on the things above; with faith filled thought, get positive insight through the word.

There is no better way to enjoy your new person in Christ than applying  these stipulated principles gotten  from our text . This wilI simply keep you staying up always.

Now declare this:
Dear father I thank you for the gift of salvation and I know I am a new person in Christ. I therefore,  set my mind on the things above not on things below. I am renewed continually by your word that abides forever because I set and continually adjust my thought pattern to the word. Amen
