Mark 5 : 20
So the man left and went all through the Ten Towns, telling what Jesus had done for him. And all who heard it were amazed. GNT
Have you come across that portion of the bible before? I mean our text, what exactly was it talking about there?
If you read the previous verses of Mark chapter 5, you realize that this man encountered Jesus and was healed of the evil spirit that had oppressed him for years.
So verse 20 (our text) was the effect of his encounter with Jesus, he was instructed by Jesus in verse 20 not to follow him ( for he requested to go to go with Jesus in verse 18) but to return to his family and tell how much the Lord has done for him.
However, our attention is in the instruction Jesus gave this man. In the King James version verse 20 reads _“and he departed and began to proclaim in Decapolis all that Jesus had done for him; and all marveled._
The truth is anytime you encounter Jesus whether through healing, deliverance, promotion or you receive a word of faith in your spirit man- any means at all, you need to start talking, proclaiming what Jesus had done already for you including those who look like strangers to you. Tell them.
In doing so you will establish those things he had already done for you.
